This seven-night retreat unfolds in the quiet heart of the Finnish summer, where deep forest stillness meets long golden evenings. Here, you’ll step gently out of everyday life and into a slower seasonal rhythm. One shaped by soulful yoga, nourishing practices, and deep, unhurried rest. Rooted in nature, guided by beauty, and held by the light, this is a retreat designed to restore your spirit in every sense. Set within a secluded forest based retreat centre, you’ll spend your days walking tree-lined trails, taking trips to the lakes, cycling country roads, and soaking in the sauna or hot tub beneath an endless sky.
Wake to the gentle stillness of the forest and the soft light filtering through tall pines. Villa Mandala is nestled in peaceful woodland, a 15 min drive or 40 min cycle from sparkling lakes and quiet bays. June & July bring near endless daylight and warm, calm evenings where time seems to slow and temperatures arround 16-26 degrees. From morning walks among the trees to evenings soaking in the sauna or hot tub beneath the summer sun, you are invited to move with the natural rhythms and let the serene surroundings gently restore you
This retreat offers deep soul nourishment where the calm of Nordic simplicity, wholesome food, and authentic connection invite profound connection. Daily yoga and meditation practices flow alongside immersion in nature, elemental rituals, outdoor activities and embodied philosophy. There is generous space to rest, wander through the forest, soak in the sauna, refresh with a cold plunge, and simply be. The thoughtfully crafted schedule allows for gentle healing on every level.
Villa Mandala is nestled in the quiet embrace of southern Finland’s forests, just an hour from Helsinki. This unique retreat centre blends modern scandi simplicity with ancient wisdom, creating a sanctuary where nature and spirit meet. Surrounded by whispering pines, and untouched wilderness, the retreat centre invites you to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters. Here, the gentle rustle of leaves, the call of native birds, and the soft glow of the endless summer sun set the stage for a truly nuturing retreat.
Food is an integral part of this retreat. Each day, you’ll enjoy three abundant, organic, vegetarian meals served buffet-style. Lovingly prepared by Villa Mandala’s kitchen team, the food is prāṇa-rich, nourishing, and deeply satisfying, made with local, seasonal ingredients and inspired by nature. The chefs are inspired by cuisines from around the world. Each day has a different theme: several Asian-style days, Mediterranean influences, and of course, Scandinavian flavors. Meals are designed to support your practice, your rest, and your return to wholeness. This is food to eat slowly, with reverence and delight.
We’ll take a three-hour gentle kayaking tour (suitable for beginners) into the protected Saarela Nature Reserve. Paddling through peaceful waters in modern, stable kayaks, you’ll feel almost part of the landscape itself.
We’ll also explore the region’s iconic lakes on a gentle guided cycling tour including a picnic lunch by the lake and opportunity for a wild swim.
Another day invites you into the forest for a guided walk foraging for wild blueberries and other delights.
