This five-night retreat unfolds in the laid-back elegance of Villa La Tosca, a secluded beachfront sanctuary tucked beneath ancient pine trees and kissed by the golden light of the Atlantic coast. Here, you’ll step gently out of everyday life and into a slower luxurious rhythm. One shaped by soulful yoga, nourishing practices, fireside connection, and deep, unhurried rest. Rooted in nature, guided by beauty, and held in elegancy, this is a retreat designed to restore your spirit in every sense.
Wake to the hush of the tide and the scent of pine drifting through your window. Villa La Tosca sits directly on the shoreline, with private beach access and panoramic views of Arcachon Bay. October brings a coastal softness: warm days, cool evenings, and golden sunsets that stretch across the water. From slow brunches on the terrace to barefoot walks along the beach, we live in step with the season. There is nothing you need to do but arrive, soften, and let the beauty of the place do its quiet work.
This is a retreat of deep soul nourishment, where quiet elegance, nourishing food, and barefoot luxury meet soul-deep restoration. Daily movement and meditation practices will be woven with journaling, seasonal rituals, breathwork, and embodied philosophy. There is ample space here. To rest by the fire with a book, to sit in stillness by the water, to unwind in the sauna, refresh with a cold plunge, to reflect & to come home to yourself. The schedule is spacious and lovingly curated to support restoration on every level.
Villa La Tosca, nestled on the shores of Arcachon Bay just one hour from Bordeaux, is a place where timeless elegance meets untamed nature. This remarkable beachfront residence embodies the quiet grandeur of the Belle Époque, an era when artists, poets, and philosophers came to the bay to breathe more deeply, think more clearly, and live more beautifully. Framed by ancient pine trees and sweeping lawns, the villa’s graceful architecture opens onto private gardens that lead directly to the tide. Here, oyster boats drift in rhythm with the sea, and each sunset feels like a painting you’ve somehow stepped inside.
Food is at the heart of this retreat. Our private chef, a former two-star Michelin chef, will prepare exquisite seasonal meals inspired by French cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, local, and nourishing ingredients. This is food to savour slowly. We will have brunch and dinner daily. The menu will cater for vegetarian, non-vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets.
While this retreat does not include alcohol, Villa La Tosca’s private bar is well stocked with a handpicked selection of local wines, celebrating the rich winemaking traditions of Bordeaux. Guests are welcome to enjoy a glass at their leisure, with all purchases simply added to their room bill to be paid on checkout.
As we indulge in the local culture and experiences, we’ll take to the water during the retreat for a private three-hour boat trip aboard a traditional pinasse, the elegant wooden boats native to Arcachon Bay. Gliding across the water, you’ll witness oyster beds, pine-fringed shorelines, and the wild beauty of the Atlantic from a new perspective.
We will also travel together into the heart of Bordeaux for a self-guided exploration. With transport arranged for you, the day is yours to wander at your own pace, exploring the grand boulevards, cafés, boutiques, and riverside art that make this city such a hidden gem. Bordeaux city is often consider a minature Paris.
Our retreat home is Villa La Tosca, a private beachfront residence on the Arcachon Bay, just one hour from Bordeaux. This exquisite villa, set between pine forest and sea, blends Belle Époque elegance with barefoot luxury. With sweeping gardens, direct beach access, a sun-drenched terrace, and quiet nooks for rest or reflection, it’s a place that invites you to breathe deeper, slow down, and soften into the beauty around you.
The entire villa is ours for the week. Each of the elegantly appointed en-suite bedrooms has its own unique charm, some with sea views, garden terraces, or claw-foot bathtubs. There’s a light-filled indoor practice space, a serene library for reading or journaling, and an outdoor deck perfect for movement or meditation overlooking the water.
You’ll also find a chemical-free eco pool, a sauna, and treatment rooms for massage. A full room breakdown will be shared with those ready to book, with a range of room options for solo travellers, friends, or couples.
Villa La Tosca offers the perfect setting to reconnect with what matters most, beauty, presence, and inner stillness. Each day offers space for both guided practices and personal quiet, time to sit by the sea, to journal under the pines, to be with your own rhythm.
Twice-daily yoga, prāṇāyāma, and meditation will be at the heart of our days, alongside workshops, soulful ritual, and meaningful conversation. Optional extras include massage therapy, paddleboarding, cycling to local markets and long beach wanders.
This retreat is not just a pause, it’s a sensual immersion into the culture and rhythm of southwest France. We'll explore the wild beauty of Arcachon Bay by pinasse boat and enjoy a self-guided city day in Bordeaux, where café culture, architecture, and art invite slow wandering.
All meals will be crafted by a private chef who previously had two Michelin stars to his name before dedicating his cullinary skills to yoga retreats — expect food that is as nourishing as it is exquisite, shaped by the seasons and infused with French elegance.
Each day will be anchored in twice-daily yoga, led by retreat host Laura Green. Mornings will offer dynamic, flowing āsana practices to energise and awaken. Evenings will draw you into softness with Yin and Restorative practices, subtle body work, and guided meditation.
Laura’s teaching weaves philosophy, poetry, and personal inquiry, creating a space that is both grounded and expansive. All levels are welcome, with variations offered throughout.

This retreat is designed to hold space for both connection and solitude. Nothing is compulsory. Everything is invitation.
