Please note that 100% attendance is required to pass this course. For exceptional circumstances it is possible to book 'catch-up' sessions if you miss a training day, these come at an additional cost. The Intensive in Spain is a mandatory part of the course.   • Anatomy, Physiology & Biomechanics | Safety, Credibility, Function, Body Reading & Human Systems 
  • Yoga Philosophy | History of Yoga, the Ancient Yoga Texts, Yoga Philosophy & Modern Day Applications
  • Sequencing & Lesson Planning | Theme, Focus, Flow, Music, Levels & Progression
  • Subtle Energy Practises | Prana, Chakras, Nadis, Koshas, Bandhas, Mantra, Chanting
  • Embodied Practises | Somatics & Mind Body Centering
  • Teaching Methodology | Group Classes, One:Ones, Mixed Levels, Hands on Assists & Adjustments, Bedside Manner, Voice & Language Skills
  • Business Methodology | Marketing, Branding, Finding Your Niche, Accounts, Website, Social Media & Customer Service
  • Real World Teaching | Each Sunday, as a group of Trainee Teachers, you will lead a class of Laura’s ‘real’ students  
  • Confidence, Integrity & Authenticity | Living Your Yoga, Finding Your Voice & Connecting with Your Purpose/Dharma 
  • A minimum of 2 Years Consistent Practise is required for this Diploma Course verified by a reference from your teacher
 

Course Lecturers & Teachers:

Laura Green is the lead teacher of this 200-hour course and as a Senior Yoga Teacher in Yoga Alliance Professionals, Laura will teach a minimum of 70% of the course hours. In addition, Laura is supported by a faculty of expert teachers who will be sharing their expertise and knowledge in specialist areas and yoga styles, including:

Laura Green: Principle course teacher, SYT with Yoga Alliance Professionals. Laura has a passion to lead life inspiring adventures through yoga. Blending expert yoga tuition with life-affirming tools to empower men and women to live the life they want.

Stella Tomlinson: A Dru Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation Angel. A creative & calming soul on a mission to ease stress & anxiety through Meditation and Yoga. Stella will be leading tuition on meditation for personal practice and in class.

 

Tom Waldron: A highly experienced and exceptionally knowledge Anatomy Educator. Tom will teach 20 hours of this course focused on applied anatomy and biomechanics. 

 

Helen Portas: An inspiration on teaching yoga in the community, with modifications for everything! Helen teachers Chair Yoga, Yoga for Stroke Victims, Yoga for Teenagers, Yoga Fall Prevention.

 

Gemma Witcomb: Gemma plays a very important role in the school as a mentor, student sounding board and for the complaints procedure. Gemma will be lecturing on Voice & Language and Dynamic Imagery.

Dynamic Practical Yoga Class – following a Focus/Style with clear learning objectives

Asana Practical – breaking down Foundational Yoga Postures with cues, technique, alignment, modifications and hands-on assists

11:30 – 11:45 

Short Tea Break (Herbal Tea and Snacks Provided)

11:45 – 13:00 

Theory & Discussion: Anatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics or Applied Yoga Philosophy

13:00 – 14:00 

Lunch (lunch is not provided, please bring a packed lunch, a kitchen is available for reheating)

14:00 – 15:30 

Teaching Methodology, Business Methodology, Sequencing & Lesson Planning

15:30 – 15:45

Group Exercises, Practical Work, Small Group Teaching
